Sheridan, who is a Registered midwife and nurse, supports pregnant women and couples in Wangaratta and says, “Being present whilst people become parents is one of the greatest privileges of my life!
“It is an absolute joy to bring Calmbirth childbirth education course to the birthing community of Benalla and surrounds! My goal is to contribute to positive birth experiences for you, your partner and your baby through childbirth education. I will help do this through Calmbirth with Sheridan where we will exchange any fears around birth with knowledge and confidence for this special time in your life.
“When I’m not relishing in all things midwifery, I am busy raising the next generation of Geelong Cats supporters. You can also find me in my garden taking too many photos of my dog and veggie patch.
“I can’t wait to celebrate and share the magic of labour and birth with you.”
My name…Sheridan Robins
I work…I work in the midwifery group practice at Northeast Health Wangaratta.
My life in five words…family, midwifery, sport, smiles, busy!
What I do to relax when I’m not working...is watch the footy (although that isn’t always relaxing!)
I can’t live without…a hot cuppa and chocolate!
The person or traits I most admire is…is my husband and his ambition and care.
What I love most about being a Calmbirth educator...is sharing the magic of birth; women and babies are incredible.
The 3 essential things you need to take with you into labour are…trust, oxytocin, lip balm!
My most memorable moment as Calmbirth® educator…involves feedback when couples describe their birth as empowering.
If I had to describe how seeing a baby being born makes me feel…I’d say privileged..what an honour it is to be in a mother and baby’s birth space, regardless of the journey leading up to their arrival.
You can follow me at…Calmbirth with Sheridan @ Benalla Birth Village
My next Calmbirth courses are on the:
March 4 & 5,
April 15 & 16,
May 20 & 21
