If this sounds like YOU, then YOU MUST enroll TODAY because we are looking for passionate and dynamic birth professionals to join our team of qualified and dedicated Calmbirth Educators in Australia’s leading, evidence based and fastest growing childbirth education program.
The Calmbirth program was founded by midwife, Peter Jackson in 2004 and is now under the leadership of his daughter & Midwife Director, and Calmbirth Educator Karen McClay, who has grown the business to incorporate the Calmbirth program into the existing antenatal structure of several maternity hospitals in NSW, NZ and is presently negotiating with hospitals in other States. As well as consolidating many collaborations and partnerships with other like-minded organisations and allied health professionals specializing in birth, postpartum and parenting.
Calmbirth takes a very holistic and evidence-based approach to our Education with the fundamental underpinning of the Program being the Mind-Body-Birth Connection. Pregnant couples and Birth workers alike are educated and reminded in our courses, of the resources the female body has to grow, nurture, and birth our babies and the importance of acknowledging the role that our beliefs and emotions towards childbirth have, on not only the physical but also the emotional wellbeing of mothers and babies.
Calmbirth has educated more than 45,000 couples since its inception in 2004 and has close to 100 Calmbirth Educators across Australia, NZ, and France.
Calmbirth has been changing the narrative of our birth culture for over 17 years since we first started educating and empowering pregnant couples with knowledge, confidence, and skills about birth. Our program helps couples move past any fears and anxieties that they have about birth and parenting, and provides them with effective, evidence-based tools and knowledge to move through the rest of their pregnancy working together confidently and feeling emotionally safe.
“A woman will birth best when she feels SAFE, UNDISTURBED and RESPECTED. Calmbirth’s goal is to educate and improve the birthing outcomes for all women and their families, not just physically, but emotionally as well.”
“Calmbirth strives to be leaders in cultural change by empowering and enabling birthing couples to experience birth as a natural part of life with confidence and fearlessness. Our vision is to change our current birth culture to one that is talked about and experienced far more positively, now and for future generations.” – Director & Owner, Karen McClay.
